Umarex T4E at BSS experience

My Experience at the British Shooting Show 2026 with Umarex boys club / Umarex

Working on the Umarex shooting range at this year’s show was an experience I won’t forget. From the moment the doors opened, there was a steady flow of visitor’s eager to get hands-on with the latest T4E markers, and being part of the team delivering that experience was both rewarding and energising.

Showcasing the T4E Line-Up

Throughout the event, we demonstrated and supervised the use of an impressive range of T4E markers, including:

  • T4E Glock 17 Gen 5 .43 CO₂
  • T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 CO₂
  • T4E Walther PDP Compact .43 CO₂
  • T4E TR50 .50 CO₂
  • T4E TR50 Carbine Kit .50 CO₂
  • T4E TC68 .68 CO₂

The realism of the .43 calibre markers, modelled after designs from Glock, Smith & Wesson, and Walther, immediately caught people’s attention. Many visitors commented on the authentic weight, handling, and overall build quality. For those new to T4E, it was often a surprise just how substantial and well-engineered the markers felt.

The TR50 and TC68 platforms were equally popular, especially with visitors interested in home defence training tools or practical shooting applications. The addition of the TR50 Carbine Kit drew particular interest, as it demonstrated the versatility of the platform and sparked plenty of conversations about modular setups.

Working with a Brilliant Team

What truly made the experience stand out was the team I worked alongside. From early morning setup to the final clear-down at the end of each day, everyone operated with professionalism, patience, and genuine enthusiasm.

The range ran smoothly thanks to clear communication and strong teamwork. Safety briefings were delivered confidently and consistently, ensuring every participant felt comfortable before stepping up to shoot. We supported one another constantly — whether that meant managing queues, loading magazines, answering technical questions, or simply keeping energy levels high during the busiest periods.

There was a real sense of camaraderie on the stand. Even during peak times, when the range was full and spectators were three rows deep, the atmosphere behind the counter remained positive and focused. It’s rare to find a team that balances professionalism with such an approachable, friendly attitude — and that balance absolutely contributed to the public’s experience.

Public Reaction to the Airguns

The response from visitors was overwhelmingly positive. Many had come specifically to see the T4E range in action, while others stumbled across it and decided to give it a try. In both cases, the feedback was consistent: people were impressed.

First-time shooters often left smiling, surprised at how controllable and accurate the markers were. More experienced attendees appreciated the realism and build quality, frequently commenting on how close the .43 models felt to their live-fire counterparts in terms of ergonomics.

There was also strong interest from those looking for training alternatives. Conversations often turned toward cost-effective practice, accessibility, and safe training environments — and the T4E range clearly demonstrated how air-powered platforms can fill that gap.

By the end of the show, it was clear that the range had been one of the highlights for many attendees. The steady queues, repeat visitors coming back for another go, and the number of in-depth technical discussions were all signs that the public engagement had been a success.

Final Thoughts

The British Shooting Show 2026 was not just another event — it was a fantastic opportunity to represent Umarex, showcase the T4E range, and work alongside a truly outstanding team. The combination of innovative products, strong teamwork, and enthusiastic public engagement made it an incredibly rewarding experience.

I left the show feeling proud of what we delivered and already looking forward to the next opportunity to be back on the range.
